I wanna walk down to Abbey Road With my hands tucked into my coat And find a door, paint it black then blame it on Jack 'Cos I know he's not coming back I wanna wake up to the summertime blues And watch the sunset at Waterloo And take a train down to Memphis in my blue suede shoes 'Cos baby I've got nothing to lose On a stormy night The sounds of yesterday took me by surprise I wanna blow my mind 'Cos I'd rather burn out and not fade away I could be a hero just for a day I wanna spend all my time in the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame I wanna clear the name of the Hurricane 'Cos I know he's not to blame And take a plane to that place where the streets have no name So I can hide from the poison rain I wanna write my own redemption song Cos my list of sins is far too long And save the world bang a gong and ask what's going on Cos maybe we could all get along On a starry night Ziggy Weird and Gilly played along and it changed my life I wanna leave it all behind And I wanna remember what is it that Stephanie says Won't let the KKK can take my baby away I wanna spend all my time in the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame I wanna walk down to Evermore where the Prince of Peace fought that war and stand tall, hear London call, God I want it all cos I'm not another brick in the wall On a stormy night The sounds of yesterday took me by surprise I wanna blow my mind 'Cos I'd rather burn out and not fade away I could be a hero just for a day On a starry night Ziggy Weird and Gilly played along and it changed my life I wanna leave it all behind I wanna drive to the levy in my Chevrolet And make love to Mrs Robinson and Maggie May I wanna spend all my time in the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame Hall of Fame, yeah

You are addicted to danger And I, I'm allergic to adventures So what's that in your witch's brew That made me change my point of view I'm not the sentimental type I came with open eyes But too much love has made me blind I'm not the suffering kind I've said enough goodbyes But too much love has made me cry I thought I was driving But love has its own mind Was a time We were nothing but strangers Could've passed each other by so many times Could've been non the wiser So now that we're together Is it love or just the weather I'm not the unquestioning type I'm always asking why But too much love has tamed my mind I'm not the soldiering kind I'm always stalling for time But too much love has made me try I thought I was driving But love has its own mind I had been taught to stay out of trouble Until I realized I had been living in a bubble I'm not the sentimental type I came with open eyes But too much love has made me blind I'm not the suffering kind I've said enough goodbyes But too much love has made me cry I thought I was driving But love has its own mind Love, love, love Love has its own mind

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Ooooooo Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Ooooooo Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Some people call you up to sell you the future Some people nag at you to see the bigger picture Don't let them get you down Don't let them get you down Some people like to talk about their perfect wives and perfect jobs Some people like to show they can do the perfect downward dog Don't let them get you down Don't let them get you down I saw a sticker on a bumper just the other day Before you change your life, you gotta change your ways But I have no inclination of living up to expectations I just sit back, I just relax I'm just happy to say Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Ooooooo Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Ooooooo Don't let them get you down Don't let them get you down Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Ooooooo Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Ooooooo Don't let them get you down Don't let them get you down Some people can't sit still, they're always trying something new Some people won't let you speak of other points of view Don't let them get you down Don't let them get you down Some people get caught up with the finger pointing to the moon Some people act like there's no elephant in the room Don't let them get you down Don't let them get you down I saw a zeolot round the corner and she said to me "It's your identity that's oppressing me" But I have no inclination of being part of her revolution Can we sit back? Can we relax? There has got to be a better way Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Ooooooo Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Ooooooo Don't let them get you down Don't let them get you down Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Ooooooo Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Ooooooo Don't let them get you down Don't let them get you down

Eternal 03:58
Sometimes I get so jaded
Nothing lasts forever but we couldn't help but try
 Changes they keep on changing
And all rock stars they'll one day fade from the limelight And every night runs into the morning light
And every sun will one day burn out of sight
And every love will always be running out of time
Everything changes but just for this moment you and I
We're eternal. One day I might find a way
There'll be no tear in my eyes when it's time to say goodbye
But tonight I'll let go of my mind
We'll take our chances under the cold grey atomic sky And every sign takes you to the end of the line
And every cry has a laughter waiting at the side
And every heart will one day be beating out of time.
Everything changes but just for this moment you and I
We're eternal. And everything changes but just for this moment you and I
And everything changes but just for this moment we’ll never die

Into My Soul 04:09
Sometimes I can’t see the daylight I close my eyes and trip through all the wires in my mind Sometimes I can’t see the warning signs I turn and hide from the rising tide Look into my soul Tell me what you’ve found out Woman don’t you know There is no easy way out If you look into my soul I’d change my life If only I knew what to change inside I’d cross that line If only I knew what to leave behind I’d stay and fight If only there’s a cause I can’t deny I’d stake my life If only I’m allowed to take my time Look into my soul Tell me what you’ve found out Woman don’t you know There is no easy way out If you look into my soul Tell me what you’ve found out Woman don’t you know There is no easy way out If you look into my soul Look into my soul Look into my soul Look into my soul

And when the silver lining in the clouds Are hidden from your view I would clear the skies for you And when the stars that you look upon to guide you Are running low on fuel I would light the night for you I've been drifting for a long time I was in no rush to go Anywhere but now i know I've been waiting for you And I would go the distance Take the path of most resistance 'Cos the highest ground Is nothing without you And I would cross the oceans I don't need no other reason 'Cos to be safe and sound Means nothing without you And when the winds of change have blown away the answers that you once knew I would chase down new ones with you and when this crowded world gets too small for you I'll build a ship to the moon cos I know you'd do the same for me too I've been staring at the horizon line too afraid to go over the edge but now I know... I've been waiting for you I've been waiting for you And I would go the distance Take the path of most resistance 'Cos the highest ground Is nothing without you And I would climb every mountain, But I'll come right down in an instant 'Cos I've been around But there's no place like beside you 'Cos I've been missing for a long time A stowaway on the decks below But now I'm back at the helm and I know That I won't be afraid That we might run aground No I wont be afraid That we will never be found 'Cos the only time that I was ever lost Were the times that were spent without you! And I would go the distance Take the path of most resistance 'Cos the highest ground Is nothing without you And I would cross the oceans I don't need no other reason 'Cos to be safe and sound Means nothing without you And I would climb every mountain, But I'll come right down in an instant 'Cos I've been around But there's no place like beside you

I've been feeling a little less down I've been taking my coffee with some brown sugar I've been learning not to drown Under the weight of the sights and sounds outside my window I think i'm getting better Though i know this wont last forever And it really doesn't matter When she say that Everything under the sun is enough but Everyone else is on the run Everything under the sun is enough but I live under a rock on a Shelf in a crockery shop ‘neath the Shadow of the moon. I've been thinking of skipping town I'm just waiting to be claimed from the lost and found section Maybe i could try to lose a few pounds Maybe i could learn not to be this Wound-up neurotic person I've got a frightfully long list of things I'm afraid of Self-help books that didn't help solve Me, myself and the voices I can’t turn off 'Cos mama never said she loved me and Daddy won't talk about his shame That's why I live under a rock on a Shelf in a crockery shop ‘neath the Shadow of the moon.

Soul sister are you ever gonna slow down for me (I’m begging you) You ran away with the only ticket to my sanity You got me wrapped around your fingers and it feels like You’ve set me free (you really do) I keep on falling I keep on tripping but it’s ok with me If I could keep up with you If I could run away in your shoes Will you be mine? Or will we be racing till the end of time? If I could keep up with you If I could run away in your shoes Will you be mine? Or will we be racing till the end of time? I don’t know Soul Sister are you ever gonna take a chance with me (oh say you do) I know you are just playing so why keep on delaying what’s meant to me I know you get your kicks from the thrill of the chase But how much do you really need? I keep on falling I keep on tripping but it’s ok with me I know if I don’t catch up, I might let you down I know if I keep trying, you might just come around I know if I don’t catch up, I might let you down I know if I keep trying, you might just come around I know if I don’t catch up, I might let you down I know if I keep trying, you might just come around I know if I don’t catch up, I might let you down I know if I keep trying, you might just come around If I could keep up with you If I could run away in your shoes Will you be mine? Or will we be racing till the end of time? If I could keep up with you If I could run away in your shoes Will you be mine? Or will we be racing till the end of time? If I could keep up with you If I could run away in your shoes Will you be mine? Or will we be racing till the end of time? If I could keep up with you (I don't know if I could) If I could run away in your shoes (I don't know if I should) Will you be mine? Or will we be racing till the end of time? If I could keep up with you (I don't know if I could) If I could run away in your shoes (I don't know if I should) Will you be mine? Or will we be racing till the end of time? I don't know If I could

See the kingfisher Iridescent colors Another one added To your life list And a kite is not a thing To cast into the wind A kite is not a thing Tied to a string It's just us and the birds In this moment it no longer hurts It's just us and the birds No need for words It's just us and the birds Doesn't matter who gets there first Just us and the birds For what it is worth Everything Everything Those that flock together Aren't always of the same feather Those that don't Aren't always alone. Get a little closer a glimpse is forever Get a little closer To me. It's just us and the birds In this moment it no longer hurts It's just us and the birds No need for words It's just us and the birds Doesn't matter who gets there first Just us and the birds For what it is worth Everything Everything See the golden plovers Busy with their lives by the water Did they ever stop to wonder like we all do? Those we thought had returned May have already passed on with the seasons Does anyone else mourn for them besides you? It's just us and the birds In this moment it no longer hurts It's just us and the birds No need for words It's just us and the birds Doesn't matter who gets there first Just us and the birds For what it is worth Everything Everything It's worth everything It's worth everything

And.... Too many wolves wearing the skin of the lamb Looking for gold in the name of the Promised Land Too many doomsday sayers who couldn't tell us when Not enough of those who's seen what's written in the sand So what do you say my friend? Oh... I guess we will have to Wing it until the end. And.... Too many lives have washed onto these shore Too many wives have waited outside these walls Too many choices have us wanting for more Not enough voices to stop the next world war So what do you say my friend? Oh... I guess we will have to Wing it until the end. And... Too many songs like this have been sung before Have they changed anything I dunno I'm not keeping score So what do you say my friend? Oh... I guess we will have to Wing it until the end So what do you say my friend? Oh... I guess we will have to Wing it until the end

There are only so many punches a man can take Before he breaks There are only so many dreams a man can forsake There are only so many places a man can go Before he grows old There are only so many nights he can spend alone I won't fade away From here No I won't fade away From here From here I see my own demons in front of me They won't let me be With my sweet blue lady so she set me free I see a shining light coming from Up that hill I see an empty desert in this land that I till I won't fade away From here No I won't fade away From here From here Still I'm waiting to hear your voice Still I'm waiting for that blue-eyed baby boy Still I'm waiting for the day my spirit could sing These words that the angels sing Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah There are only so many moves a man can fake Before he wakes There are only so many glass hearts a man can break There are only so many chances a man can take Before he's afraid There are only so many moments a man can wait Before it is too late

I’ve got a premonition Of annihilation We’re not too far From the edge So I’m writing to you And I’m asking you to Be my friend For the end of the world We could play our favorite tune In my carbon-filtered panic room Put on our biohazard suits and Go driving in my car though We won’t get very far It’s a new beginning it’s not the end because Lalalalala, Lalalalala, Lalalala I’ve got a friend Lalalalala, Lalalalala, Lalalala I’ve got a friend I’ve got ammunitions And combat rations I’m ready for The future war I was frightened before But not anymore Will you take my hand At the end of the world We could grow our favorite food under Lights of ultraviolet blue go Hunt animals at the zoo and For what it’s worth you and I both could try Repopulating the Earth It’s a new beginning it’s not the end because Lalalalala, Lalalalala, Lalalala I’ve got a friend Lalalalala, Lalalalala, Lalalala I’ve got a friend Oh you can count on me I’ve always been a survivor In a world that never fails to never see me Do you see me? Soon you will see me You will see Lalalalala, Lalalalala, Lalalala I’ve got a friend Lalalalala, Lalalalala, Lalalala I’ve got a friend Oh we could go driving Across the wasteland You and I both With shotguns in our hands Oh we could watch the sunset On nuclear sands It’s a new beginning It’s not the end Do you need a friend? Can I be your friend? For the end of the world

about

Joshua Chiang's debut solo album – mixed and mastered by Singapore indie rock veteran Patrick Chng (The Oddfellows, Typewriter) – is a collection of original guitar pop-rock songs that showcases Joshua's musical skills and versatility honed through nearly a decade of live performances all over the Cambodian capital, as well as his knack for crafting catchy melodies and memorable hooks.

As encapsulated in the tongue-in-cheek opener and first single, I Wanna (Spend All My Time In the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame), the album is an unapologetic love letter to the music that has inspired Joshua. There’s new-wave-influenced Into My Soul, Motownesque Love Has Its Own Mind, folk-rock-ish What Do You Say, and the Brit-pop-sounding A Friend For The End Of The World whose demo version was voted into the Number Three spot in Cambodia’s RadioOun.com's Top 100 Songs of All Time 2021.

Everything Under The Sun is mostly recorded in Joshua’s home studio and features the singer/songwriter performing most of the live instruments on the album. Additional guitars are provided by ZyctDan and Jared Ferrie. Prolific Singaporean trumpet player Christopher Yong Lin further contributes to three tracks on the album.

The album is the culmination of years of songwriting which began when Joshua was in his late twenties, and documents the transition of the songwriter from young adulthood to middle age.

“By the time I reached my forties, I had come to realize how unpredictable life can be, so I approached the making of the album as if it were my only, and final statement to the world. It has everything I want to say about love, living a good life, and ... how to survive a zombie apocalypse.”
